Listen to sound bars in the store and ask for returns and exchange if the ones you buy are not for you when you come home.

Decide How Many Channels You Want
If you just want to improve the sound of your TV, a soundbar with 2.1 channels (two front channels and a separate subwoofer) could be enough. If you want a real surround sound, buy a soundbar with subwoofer and the rear speakers – preferably wireless – for multi-channel sound.

Not overbought
If only the soundbar to listen to the TV, you can opt for a model without cheap and decor that has at least a good sound quality. It will be a step from almost all integrated TV audio.
